I have been having it easy lately, all of the 1151 builds and AM4 machines. Sometimes I forget how actually difficult it was to build just 8 years ago. Having to fiddle with complicated mounting hardware for the AM3 platform has been trying at best. Then, the welds on the top of the cooler were a little off and the door would not close (while technically it was supposed to fit) so gonna grab a different crap case for my media ripping station and reuse this one for, well, anything else.
So after I got everything unpacked I opened up the box containing my ancient Cooler Master Stacker case. Sure, its a little worse for wear, the wheels have all popped off but, the magnificent space this case provides is still here and ready to become the home for my new NAS storage. I had originally planned to use this as the base to revive my old school DFI board and 64fx chip, but I think I will find another case for that particular project. Should I prime and paint this beast, or just leave it like it is?
Originally this monster housed a normal old Phenom II and a GTX 460. Oh have times changed for case aesthetics.
